What's in your heart

There are many times that we have good intentions to serve God but it only ends up being lip service. In our minds, we want to do it but it has not entered into our hearts. Our heart is the center of our being. It encompasses our thoughts, reflections and our will. The word says that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked:who can know it? Wow! The one thing that controls and motivates our actions is something that we can't understand. Some of us don't have a clear understanding of what it means when we say "God knows my heart." Yes He does but evidently we don't. The things that are conceived in our heart are the very things that will be revealed in our actions. Our heart reveals the things that we are committed to and our direction in life. If our heart is wicked we will be cunning and scheming. We will be deceptive, hypocritical, lacking in integrity, greedy, and jealous. We will have an arrogant and stubborn attitude. We will only be committed to ourselves and our destructive life will ultimately lead to our own destruction. (SEARCH YOUR HEART HERE) When we humble ourselves, pray and seek God's face and turn from our wicked ways, our hearts grow and open so that God can examine it. Then our lives can become pure and we can be committed to the things of God. God will heal our wicked heart when we ask Him and He will fill us with His joy and give us the desires of our heart. Meaning He will replace the wickedness that was once there with the things that we should desire that will please Him and satisfy us.
